∎ Diploma in Nursing Science with certificate from Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council

Job Context:
∎ Research, Training and Management (RTM) International NGO working in the Cox`s Bazar to implement different projects supported by Government of Bangladesh, UNFPA, UNHCR, UNICEF and others development partners. To provide Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) services in different location RTM requires to fill up some vacancies in different positions.
∎ Employment requirement and areas
∎ RTM International requires Midwife and Nurse for the disciplines of SRH and Maternal health services.
∎ Candidates with knowledge and skills in SRH, MNCH services will be preferred.
∎ Prepare delivery room and operating rooms for NVD and surgeries, ensuring all necessary equipment, instruments and supplies are sterile and readily available.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist in the preparation of the delivery room, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are sterile, organized, and readily available for childbirth procedures.
∎ Provide emotional support to expectant mothers during labor, offering encouragement and reassurance throughout the birthing process.
∎ Monitor the progress of labor, assess fetal well-being, and assist in the delivery of new-borns, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for both mother and baby.
∎ Collaborate with medical staff and obstetricians during emergency situations, providing skilled assistance and following established protocols to ensure optimal outcomes.
∎ Provide postnatal care to mothers and new-borns, offering guidance on breastfeeding, new-born care, and postpartum recovery.
∎ Educate expectant mothers about childbirth, pain management techniques, and postpartum care, empowering them to make informed decisions about their birthing experience.
∎ Assist surgeons and the medical team during surgeries by passing instruments, handling surgical equipment, and anticipating the needs of the surgical team.
∎ Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create a safe and efficient surgical environment, adhering to established protocols and guidelines
∎ Provide emotional support to patients and their families, demonstrating empathy and understanding during challenging times.
∎ Actively engage in continuous education to enhance skills related to operating room techniques, infection control, and patient safety.
∎ Participate in performance improvement initiatives, contributing to the analysis of surgical outcomes and suggesting improvements in patient care protocols.
∎ Uphold ethical and professional standards, demonstrating empathy, compassion, and respect for cultural diversity while providing care to expectant mothers and newborns.
∎ Collaborate with community health workers and outreach programs to provide prenatal education and support to expectant mothers in underserved communities.
∎ Any others responsibilities assigned by the authority.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 1- year experience in the related field
∎ The Following capabilities are mandatory:
∎ Working experience at Rohingya refugee camp will be an asset.
∎ Good communication skills in both English and Bangla.
