Educational Requirements:
∎ Diploma in Midwifery from an accredited academic institution that is recognized & registered by Bangladesh Nursing & Midwifery Council.
∎ Registration with Bangladesh Nursing & Midwifery Council.
∎ Candidate having Bachelor's degree in midwifery will get preference.

Job Context:
∎ Following the mass influx of people from Rakhain state in August 2017, ICRC identified the extra burden this placed on the existing Ministry of Health and Family Welfare MOHFW facilities, and lack of other actors providing comprehensive primary health care in Teknaf.
∎ After influx ICRC provided medical services through mobile medical team in association with BDRCS. Although the emergency phase of the response has plateaued, the need for primary health services remains high. Whilst a mobile medical service meets the emergent needs of the population during 2017-18, a more comprehensive and geographically stable service is now needed for the next phase. A fixed clinic therefore is a more sustainable way of enabling continuity of care and improve the quality of service provided.
∎ MoU has been signed in between ICRC and DGHS, MOHFW to established and operate two primary health center in Camp 26 & 27, Teknaf. To make these PHC functioning we are hiring for the position titled "Midwife".

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist medical officer in conducting health examination, conducting history taking, measurement, treatment, medicine, management and dispensing, immunization and collating medical reports and collating medical reports and also performing medical procedure and referral.
∎ Ensure the management and effective health care to the pregnant women as well as other patients.
∎ Regularly arrange health education session with the support of Health Promotion officer to provide health education for family planning method and any other health issue.
∎ Dispense family planning commodities to the eligible client..
∎ Ensure visit of mother in ANC and PNC regularly.
∎ Carry out normal delivery with aseptic precaution.
∎ Ensure necessary measures to prevent infection.
∎ Formulate, implement and evaluate the work plan on daily, weekly or monthly basis.
∎ To ensure quality waste management and cleanliness in the center.
∎ Ensure adequate supply, use and maintenance of drugs, linens, equipment and appliances.
∎ Ensure necessary and directed investigations for the diagnosis of disease.
∎ Any other tasks assigned by supervisor.
∎ To be reportable to Medical Officer (Team Leader) through Health promotion officer.
