∎ Midwife (Host Community) :
∎ At least H.S.C pass. Bachelor's degree/ Diploma in Nursing or social science, Public Health will be significant advantage.

∎ Midwife-Paramedic (Rohingya Community) :
∎ Diploma in Nursing. The others educational qualification (Graduate/ Master in Social Science) will be considered for highly experienced person in Sexual Reproductive Health or Public Health focusing in Family Planning aspects.
∎ Preferred Professional Certification: Diploma in Nursing,Public Health
∎ Training/Trade Course: Diploma in Nursing,Sexual Reproductive Health,Family Planning
∎ Skills Required: Analytical Skills, case management skills, Community Engagement, COMPUTER OFFICE MANAGEMENT, Disability Inclusion, Project Cycle Management, reporting and maintaining confidentialit

Experience Requirements:

Job Context:
∎ Position Title : Midwife (GBV) & Midwife-Paramedic (SRHR)
∎ Location: Ukiah and Teknaf Upazila (Midwife - GBV) & Rohingya Camp no. 15 (Midwife-Paramedic - SRHR) of Cox`s Bazar, Bangladesh.
∎ Reports to: GBV Coordinator
∎ Total project duration - 08 Months but initially Up to May 2021, full-time position (With possibility of contract extension)

∎ AGRAJATTRA is Women headed non-profitable, non-political, non-governmental voluntary, L/NNGO based in Cox`sbazar, Bangladesh. Our main areas of work include Child protection, prevention of violence against women and girls, women`s empowerment, life-skills education, and humanitarian response & DRR in emergency situations as well as Rohingya crisis (Food security & livelihoods, Shelter development, WASH, Health and hygiene, Protection, Education) etc.
∎ Operational/Context Role :
∎ AGRAJATTRA is looking for an experience and competent Mid Wife (GBV) for the project titled "Prevention of GBV and Improve Health, Livelihood and Psychological Well-being of Host and Rohingya Community at COXB, Bangladesh". The project is funded by Médecins du Monde France (MdM) - France. The project components are Mental Health and Psychological Support Service (MHPSS), Gender Based Violence (GBV), Sexual Reproductive Health & Rights (SRHR) and Livelihood development. The project will be implemented at Host Community and Rohingya community of Cox`s Bazar.
∎ Mid Wife (GBV) will responsible for providing services to the survivors of SRHR. The services will be provided through Community Resource Center (CRC) and Rural Community Mobilization on prevention of violence and creating access to health services specially SRHR aspects in host community.
∎ Midwife-Paramedic (SRHR) will responsible for providing services to the Rohingya Community related to SRHR aspects. The services will be provided through Community Resource Center (CRC) and Community Mobilization on prevention of violence and creating access to health services specially SRHR aspects in Rohingya community.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Key Responsibilities : FOR BOTH
∎ Develop and coordinate SRHR work plan that target women and girls among Rohingya and host communities.
∎ Develop and prepare a package of Minimum Essential SRH services to support pregnant women and girls and lactating mothers to ensure good maternal health and nutrition.
∎ Train TBA and volunteers to gain and update skills in promoting safe Maternal and New Born and Adolescent Health, Family planning and GBV- related to health and to identify warning SRH signs
∎ Train and coach TBA, volunteers in emergency referrals in coordination with responsible staff and reporting.
∎ Design, organize and support a large awareness plan on SRHR issues to promote family planning, ANC/PNC, breastfeeding, communicable diseases/STIs, cancer detection and COVID-19 Prevention in Host Community and Camp.
∎ Develop an awareness and sensitization campaign on above SRHR plan and the negative effects for health of GBV, child marriage and adolescent-girl pregnancy.
∎ Conduct collective sessions at the CRCs to reinforce education on SRH good practices, promote access to PHC and SRH services and improve healthy sexual and reproductive health rights to all, women, men and youth Supervise all field-based activities related to SRH and GBV-health related and the quality in pregnant women support.
∎ Support the creation or adaptation of sensitization materials related to SRHR and / or related advocacy.
∎ Ensure data collection and analysis for reporting.
∎ Prepare weekly and monthly work plan and implement accordingly by ensuring quality standard towards achieving the project results.
∎ The midwife will work at Community Resource Center (CRC) and in the community for providing SRHR services as per needs Assist in developing/adapting protocols and other documents Support selection of adolescent girls to receive the dignity & hygiene kits to the young women/ adolescent girls To identify problems to recommend solutions by inter personal communications.
∎ Support to GBV coordinator for developing IEC/BCC materials, reader-friendly visuals on COVID-19 prevention, hygiene, family planning and women rights aspects and distribution to beneficiaries and stakeholders,
∎ Support to GBV team to progress and achieve of the SRHR component,
∎ Facilitate weekly meetings and organize weekly one-to-one with caseworkers, volunteer
∎ Mapping referral SRH and GBV pathways and ensure access to other available services
∎ Other duties as assigned
∎ Reporting & Monitoring :
∎ Assist to Psychologist and Case manager to submit to weekly case management and SRH, GBV reports ensure all information is updated.
∎ Conduct monitoring/mentoring visits and ensure a systematic approach for tracking barriers, challenges, and progresses in awareness sessions and / or with beneficiaries support
∎ Submit Monthly Work Plan and CRC operations Plan in SRHR of the project.
∎ Networking :
∎ Represent Agrajattra at the SRH sub sector, GBV and relevant Working Group or forums
∎ Coordination with SRHR and GBV stakeholders, Union Parishad Midlevel stakeholders of Host Community
∎ Develop networking and rapport building with GOs, NGOs and Private sector actors for achieving project goal and objectives as per planned schedule
∎ Regularly attend/ participate different coordination meeting at Upazila level and SRHR sub sector meeting.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 45 years
∎ Only females are allowed to apply
∎ Experience:
∎ At least 04 year working experience in humanitarian program with national and international NGO
∎ Demonstrated experience and commitment to working with marginalized communities.
∎ Experience in child protection in protracted crisis / early recovery a significant advantage
∎ Experience working in Rohingya camps is a significant advantage
∎ At least Two-year experience in Midwife in GBV, Family Planning and SRH related aspects
∎ Upholds humanitarian values and principles
∎ Language-
∎ Fluency in English and Bangla (written and spoken) and excellent writing skills.
∎ Rohingya or Chittagonian language skills is a significant advantage
∎ Technical Skills-
∎ Strong analytical, reporting, strategic thinking and planning skills
∎ Strong case management skills, follow up reporting and maintaining confidentiality
∎ Strong monitoring and evaluation skills/experience
∎ Knowledge of project cycle management.
∎ Strong knowledge about computer operates.

Salary:
∎ Tk. 20000 - 25000 (Monthly)
∎ Mid Wife (Host Community) - 20000.00 Midwife-Paramedic (Rohingya Community) - 25000.00
