Job Context:
∎ Currently Bangladesh Red Crescent Society is looking for a suitable Bangladeshi national for the following position under Population Movement Operation (PMO), Cox`s Bazar
∎ Duration of contract : Until 31.12.2020 (With possibility of extension)
∎ Organizational Unit/Department : Health
∎ Service status : BDRCS project-based contract
∎ Reporting line : Chief Medical Officer, BDRCS
∎ Duty station : Ukhia, Cox`s Bazar (Full-time presence at Health facility)
∎ Candidates must agree with:
∎ Serving 8 hours per day with one day off per week.
∎ Serving on the health facility compound (IITC) for 10 weeks followed by 2 weeks of quarantine on the compound (IITC).
∎ The total duty of 12 weeks in a row (work + quarantine) will be followed by two weeks of paid leave.
∎ During duty, staff will not be able to leave the IITC compound, and only able to interact with externals if the duty necessitates and if approved by the line manager.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Supporting the IITC medical team by providing direct care to the health beneficiaries based on the need
∎ Capacity building for the Health service providers for the implementation of qualitative psycho-social care and mental health activities
∎ Assisting the community volunteers (CVs) in the identification of beneficiaries in need of specific psychological counseling and ensuring individual or group support for identified beneficiaries.
∎ Ensure all work with clients is confidential and that ethical practices are observed.
∎ Assess the beneficiaries' psychological condition by using psychological tools to detect the vulnerable cases and ensure psychological follow up.
∎ Actively participate in weekly or bi-weekly sectoral meetings in the camp level.
∎ Participate in conducting trainings for medical and non-medical staff on Mental Health related topics.
∎ Producing timely progress reports, including both quantitative and qualitative information, on MHPSS activities and clinical case studies
∎ Have a good confidence in communicating in public
∎ Perform any other work-related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the line manager.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Ability to work harmoniously within a team and under stress
∎ Professional Roles:
∎ At least 1 years' experience working in the similar position with an NGO
∎ Expertise and experience Mental Health and Psychosocial Support
∎ Proficient in Bengali and Chittagonian/Rohingya language
∎ Willing to stay on the facility
∎ Age Limit : 45 years (may be relaxed in case of outstanding candidates)
Salary:
∎ As per the BDRCS policy
