Educational Requirements:
∎ BSC/MSC in Medical Technologist with 3-5 years experience in Transfusion Medicine

Experience Requirements:
∎ 3 to 5 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Interaction with the donors to inform about the norms for blood donation.
∎ Blood collection and processing, including selecting donors, drawing and typing blood, and performing pre-transfusion viral screening and confirmatory tests to ensure the safety of the patient.
∎ Segregation of blood into various components i.e. R.B.C, Plasma, Platelets etc.
∎ Testing for blood group antigens, compatibility and antibody identification.
∎ Cross matching of recipient blood with blood being supplied.
∎ Investigating abnormalities such as hemolytic disease of the newborn, hemolytic anemias, and adverse responses to transfusion.
∎ Supporting physicians in transfusion therapy, including patients with coagulopathies or candidates for allogeneic organ transplant.
∎ Documentation of all records.
∎ Performs all other tasks as required by the department.

∎ Age 25 to 30 years
