Responsibilities & Context:
- Collect blood, urine, and other bodily fluids from patients according to established procedures.
- Prepare specimens for analysis by centrifuging, aliquoting, and labeling.Ensure proper handling, storage, and transportation of specimens.
- Perform a wide range of laboratory testsOperate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Perform quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Monitor and document quality control data.Participate in proficiency testing programs.
- Analyze laboratory results and interpret findings.
- Verify and validate test results before releasing them to healthcare providers.
- Prepare and generate accurate and timely laboratory reports.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and guidelines to protect patients, staff, and the environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory workspaceComply with all relevant regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.
- Provide technical assistance to healthcare providers regarding laboratory tests and results.
