Experience:
MBBS degree recognized by the BMDC with 6 months post-graduation training (PGT) with 2 years’ work experience in clinical field
Minimum of 6 months’ experience practicing as medical officer in Obstetrics /Gynae.
Up to date evidence of current license and registration to practice.
Minimum of three months’ work/volunteering in Field hospital or Low resource setting.
Ability and willingness to travel to remote and insecure locations and unstable areas.
Previous experience of managing obstetric complications often associated with humanitarian emergencies e.g. management of infectious diseases in pregnancy, clinical management of rape etc.
Familiar with the Minimum Initial Service Package (MISP) for reproductive health in humanitarian settings
Advanced life support, pediatric life support and neonatal life support trained or their equivalents
Sound knowledge on the Bangladesh health system and humanitarian context.

The Opportunity
Medical Officer - Maternity will be technical part of the Hospital Program, with special focus on Sexual Reproductive Health. S/he is responsible for delivering lifesaving medical services by providing emergency care, overseeing the provision of quality health care within the Health Facilities (HF), ensuring consultations and treatments are done in line with relevant clinical protocols, guidelines and prescribed best practices. S/he has direct involvement in routine ANC-PNC, Family planning, assessment of high-risk pregnancies and obstetric emergencies, OPD and General IPD, emergency ward including life-saving interventions as well as assessment and monitoring, management of the patient. The role emphasizes supervision, and saving interventional development of midwives, nurses, and allied health staff to build resilient teams and improve service delivery.
