Job Summary:
The Medical Officer (Male) will be responsible for providing primary healthcare services to factory employees, ensuring workplace health, hygiene, and medical compliance as per the Bangladesh labor law’06 and international buyers’ requirements. The role includes emergency treatment, health awareness, occupational health management, and maintaining medical records.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Medical Treatment & First Aid
Provide primary medical treatment and first aid to employees during working hours.
Handle workplace injuries, illness, and emergency medical situations.
Ensure proper referral of critical patients to nearby hospitals or specialized medical centers.
Monitor and support the recovery of injured or sick employees.
2. Occupational Health & Safety
Ensure workplace health and hygiene in coordination with the Safety and Compliance team.
Identify occupational health hazards and recommend preventive measures.
Conduct regular health check-ups and fitness assessments for workers.
Participate in risk assessment and workplace safety audits.
3. Compliance & Legal Requirements
Ensure medical facilities comply with the Bangladesh Labor Law and buyers’ compliance standards.
Maintain proper medical records and documentation.
Support factory audits related to health and safety by buyers and regulatory bodies.
Ensure availability of required medicines and medical equipment.
4. Health Awareness & Training
Conduct health awareness sessions on hygiene, nutrition, reproductive health, communicable diseases, and occupational safety.
Provide training on first aid, CPR, and emergency response.
Promote preventive healthcare practices among workers.
5. Administration & Reporting
Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly medical reports.
Manage medicine inventory and ensure timely procurement.
Maintain confidentiality of employee medical records.
Coordinate with HR regarding health issues affecting productivity and attendance.
6. Emergency Preparedness
Support fire and emergency drills.
Ensure emergency response readiness in collaboration with the Safety team.
Assist in workplace accident investigations.
