Education:

  • Training in digital media, content creation, reporting, information management, monitoring and evaluation, or communications is an advantage.

EXPIRIENCE: • Minimum 2 years of experience in media, communications, reporting, data management, documentation, public relations, or related roles.

• Experience in NGOs, humanitarian organizations, or development projects is preferred.

• Experience in social media management, content production, reporting, data analysis, and information management is required.

• Experience in project documentation, donor reporting, and visual communication is an asset.

Reporting To: Hierarchical: Project Officer - Relief coordination (Anas Abulaban)

Functional: Media Officer (Moin Uddin)

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for leading communication, media, visibility, documentation, and reporting activities across all humanitarian projects implemented by Qatar Charity in Bangladesh. The position ensures the production of high-quality communication materials, donor visibility products, success stories, reports, visual documentation, and information products that demonstrate project achievements, support accountability, and enhance organizational visibility. The role serves as the focal point for project documentation, media engagement, content development, and reporting coordination, ensuring compliance with donor requirements, organizational branding, and humanitarian communication standards.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Objective 1: Plan and implement media, communication, and visibility strategies.

• Develop and implement media, communication, and visibility plans to promote organizational and project achievements.

• Plan communication activities aligned with project milestones, humanitarian priorities, and donor requirements.

• Identify key messages, communication objectives, and target audiences.

• Ensure consistent, strategic, and impactful communication across all projects and platforms.

Objective 2: Manage social media platforms and digital presence.

• Manage and regularly update official social media accounts and digital communication channels.

• Create, schedule, and publish engaging content including posts, stories, videos, and campaign materials.

• Monitor engagement, audience feedback, and digital performance indicators.

• Ensure all content complies with organizational branding, messaging, and communication guidelines.

Objective 3: Lead project documentation and storytelling.

• Prepare success stories, case studies, field reports, testimonials, and human-interest stories.

• Document project activities through high-quality photography, videography, and written content.

• Ensure accurate labeling and categorization of all media assets, including activity descriptions, dates, and locations.

• Maintain a comprehensive archive of project documentation and communication materials.

Objective 4: Produce communication, visibility, and knowledge products.

• Develop brochures, factsheets, banners, infographics, newsletters, and visibility materials.

• Prepare donor visibility materials in accordance with branding and acknowledgement requirements.

• Design presentations, briefing notes, communication packages, and knowledge products.

• Ensure all communication materials meet organizational quality standards and donor requirements.

Objective 5: Coordinate media relations and external communication.

• Liaise with media outlets, journalists, partners, and stakeholders when required.

• Prepare press releases, public statements, and official announcements.

• Support media visits, donor missions, field coverage, and public events.

• Ensure the organization is professionally represented in all external communications.

Objective 6: Manage reporting, information, and knowledge management systems.

• Prepare periodic narrative reports, project updates, factsheets, and communication summaries.

• Collect, verify, consolidate, and analyze project information, achievements, indicators, and supporting evidence.

• Maintain organized databases and archives of reports, assessments, photos, videos, and communication products.

• Develop dashboards, visual summaries, presentations, and information products to support management and donor reporting.

• Ensure consistency and accuracy of information used in reports, communication materials, and organizational publications.

• Facilitate knowledge management, institutional learning, and information sharing across projects and departments.

Objective 7: Support monitoring, reporting, and donor accountability.

• Coordinate with project teams to collect timely updates, statistics, achievements, and lessons learned.

• Support preparation of donor reports by providing communication content, evidence, visuals, and success stories.

• Track communication, reporting, and visibility indicators and maintain related records.

• Support monitoring visits, assessments, surveys, and data verification processes when required.

• Ensure information products accurately reflect project performance and impact.

Objective 8: Ensure compliance with ethical, safeguarding, and donor standards.

• Ensure informed consent is obtained for photographs, videos, interviews, testimonials, and other communication products.

• Protect the dignity, privacy, confidentiality, and rights of beneficiaries in all communication activities.

• Ensure compliance with donor visibility requirements, humanitarian principles, and organizational policies.

• Ensure all communication materials are accurate, respectful, inclusive, and non-exploitative.

Objective 9: Ensure employees adhere to ethical standards, organizational policies, and legal requirements while maintaining integrity and professional conduct.

• Use organizational assets, technologies, systems, and resources for official purposes only.

• Comply with the Code of Conduct, PSEA Policy, Safeguarding Policy, Conflict of Interest Policy, Fraud Prevention Policy, and other applicable policies.

• Report any violations of organizational policies, legal requirements, fraud, misconduct, or unethical behavior.

• Refrain from harassment, discrimination, corruption, bribery, and conflicts of interest.

• Maintain professionalism, transparency, accountability, and confidentiality at all times.

Objective 10: Ensure the implementation of Qatar Charity safeguarding standards, including PSEA and GBV prevention.

• Implement and promote safeguarding measures across all communication and project activities.

• Comply with Child Protection, Safeguarding, PSEA, and GBV policies and procedures.

• Establish and support confidential mechanisms for reporting safeguarding concerns.

• Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure safeguarding is integrated into all project interventions.

• Ensure safeguarding risks are identified, assessed, mitigated, and monitored throughout project implementation.
