Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns (Mushak-9.1) within deadlines via VAT online system.
Maintain statutory VAT registers including Mushak-6.1, 6.2, 6.3, 6.5, 6.6, 6.7, 6.8, and 6.10.
Ensure timely preparation and approval of Input-Output Coefficient (Mushak-4.3).
Manage VAT deduction at source (VDS) and ensure proper issuance of certificates.
Prepare VAT price declarations and ensure compliance with applicable SROs.
Develop and implement VAT planning.
Ensure accurate calculation and application of TDS & VDS as per prevailing laws.
Monitor changes in tax regulations and advise management accordingly.
Reconcile VAT records with financial accounts on a regular basis.
Monitor VAT purchase and sales accounts and ensure accurate postings.
Prepare VAT reconciliation, rebate statements, and variance analysis (RM/PM stock).
Prepare documentation for VAT audits and regulatory reviews.
Represent the company in hearings before VAT authorities, including Commissionerate, Appellate Tribunal, and ADR.
Maintain liaison with VAT, Customs, and other regulatory authorities.
Handle audit queries (e.g., Nirikkha Goenda Audit, Commissionerate Audit).
Coordinate with Accounts, Sales, Supply Chain, Production, QA, and Admin teams.
Ensure smooth delivery operations and compliance in goods movement (challan management).
Oversee issuance and reconciliation of Mushak-6.3 and 6.5 delivery challans.
Supervise and guide the VAT compliance team.
Monitor team performance and ensure adherence to compliance timelines.
Maintain accurate VAT and tax documentation and records.
Ensure proper use of NBR-approved VAT software (e.g., Shampan, ERP systems).
Generate MIS reports and provide insights for management decision-making.
Ensure timely payment and rebate claims for utilities (gas, electricity).
Support senior management with financial analysis and compliance strategy.
Perform any additional tasks assigned by management.
Strong knowledge of Bangladesh VAT laws and regulations.
Experience with VAT software (e.g., Shampan), ERP, and accounting systems (e.g., Tally).
