Job Context:
∎ The role of Manager- Finance will be to run the financial management. The role will report to the Country Manager, Bangladesh but with high independence and ownership over all financial processes. S/he will also be responsible for building a robust taxation compliance of the operation, addressing all internal and external compliance requirements in Bangladesh.
∎ Overall, the Manager- Finance hands on, accounting, and able to multi-task and drive not only the business as usual tasks of a finance function, but also the compliance challenges such as managing external statutory audits and taxation audits.
∎ The Manager- Finance takes on both the role as an expert within the finance and accounting field but can also support the Country Manager in strategic decisions and general management.
∎ The position performs in the line with the Bureau Veritas Quality Assurance System, including the BV Code of Ethics and the BV Group Accounting policy (MAG).
∎ Support business line to comply with all TQR Issues.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Managing the local finance team and building a strong culture of financial integrity and ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with Bureau Veritas Group, local and international reporting standards (IFRS).
∎ Ensuring the entity’s compliance with local authorities relating to regulatory and tax affairs (reporting, filing of accounts, etc.) as well tax risk management.
∎ Manage tax audits with the local tax authorities and work closely with the tax advisors for total tax compliance.
∎ Running the finance operations including month-end/year-end closings, preparing budgets & forecasts, ensuring proper controllership functions & owning treasury processes.
∎ Ability to assess and establish and maintain adequate financial control processes.
∎ Performing KPI analysis, accurate forecasting and ad-hoc reporting.
∎ Performing any additional data analytics in support of optimising the business performance in terms of sales, payment collection, customer service and other after-sales activities.
∎ Managing inward and outward remittances, working capital and maintaining Operating Cash Flows (OCF).
∎ Managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Credit Control.
∎ Ensure the accuracy of reporting and financial data to local controlling.
∎ Provide needed information (routine financial reporting and special request)
∎ Follow BV TQR Policies and HSE Requirements.
∎ Cooperate with internal and external auditors.
∎ Support employees in the area of responsibility in agreement with superior (individual development, motivation, assessments and feedback)
∎ Assure the protection of assets of Bureau Veritas according to defined guidelines
