Education:

Diploma/Bachelor in Mechanical/Electrical/Fire Engineering.

Additional Requirements:

• Age At least 28 years

• 8+ years for Manager; 5+ years for Deputy Manager in industrial fire safety.

• Certification: NFPA, IOSH Fire Safety, or Bangladesh Fire Service training mandatory.

Responsibilities & Context:

1. Purpose Of The Position
Design, implement, and audit fire prevention, detection, and suppression systems to achieve NFPA/Bangladesh Fire Code compliance and zero fire-related loss.

2. Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities

• Conduct monthly site-wide fire risk assessment and hazard mapping.

• Ensure all fire extinguishers, hydrants, pumps, and detectors are 100% operational.

• Lead quarterly fire drills with full evacuation time measurement.

• Secure and renew annual fire license from Bangladesh Fire Service & Civil Defence.

• Train fire wardens and emergency response teams each quarter.

• Inspect electrical panels, storage areas, and flammable materials weekly.

• Coordinate with maintenance to rectify passive fire protection breaches.

• Manage fire alarm mock drills during all shifts, including night.

• Prepare fire incident investigation report and corrective action within 48 hours.

• Maintain fire safety budget for equipment servicing and replacement.
