  • 7-10 years of experience in a managerial role focused on fire safety, preferably within local or multinational companies.
  • Comprehensive fire and safety certifications.
  • Proven track record of managing fire safety initiatives in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Experience working with the Bangladesh Fire Service & Civil Defense is a significant advantage.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to foster a culture of safety among employees.


Responsibilities & Context:
  1. Develop, implement, and monitor Fire & Safety policies, procedures, and emergency response plans.

  2. Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Labour Law, Bangladesh Fire Service & Civil Defence requirements, and buyer compliance standards.

  3. Lead fire risk assessments, hazard identification, and workplace safety inspections.

  4. Plan, conduct, and evaluate emergency evacuation drills and firefighting exercises.

  5. Manage fire detection, alarm, sprinkler, hydrant, and other firefighting systems, ensuring they remain fully operational.

  6. Coordinate preventive maintenance and statutory inspections of all fire protection equipment.

  7. Lead and supervise the Fire & Safety team, including Fire Officers, Fire Operators, and Emergency Response Team (ERT) members.

  8. Investigate fire incidents, accidents, and near misses, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

  9. Conduct Fire & Safety training and awareness programmes for employees.

  10. Coordinate with government authorities, auditors, buyers, and certification bodies during inspections and audits.

  11. Maintain all Fire & Safety records, permits, licences, and statutory documentation.

  12. Support EHS initiatives and promote continuous improvement in workplace safety.
