Responsibilities & Context:
  • Design and review fire protection, fire detection and life safety systems, including fire alarms, automatic sprinkler systems, hydrants, gas suppression, smoke management, and emergency lighting.

  • Conduct fire risk assessments, hazard identification, and life safety evaluations for new and existing facilities.

  • Ensure compliance with NFPA, FM Global, BS, IFC, IBC, local fire codes, and applicable statutory regulations.

  • Review engineering drawings, specifications and drawings to verify compliance with fire protection standards.

  • Coordinate with Civilis, MEP engineers, contractors, consultants, and authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ) throughout project execution.

  • Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, inspection, and preventive maintenance of fire protection and detection systems.

  • Develop fire safety strategies, emergency response plans, evacuation procedures, and business continuity measures.

  • Conduct fire drills, emergency response training, and fire safety awareness programs for employees and stakeholders.

  • Investigate fire incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

  • Prepare technical reports, fire safety documentation, compliance records, inspection reports, and audit findings.

  • Support internal and external fire safety audits and ensure timely closure of observations.

  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure work is executed in accordance with project specifications and safety standards.

  • Recommend system upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance fire safety and operational reliability.

  • Stay updated with emerging fire engineering technologies, industry standards, and regulatory changes.
