Experience:

• Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting or Finance.

• The purpose of the "Manager-Costing" position is to lead the development of a cost accounting framework in order to enable reporting of contribution margin by specialty as a first priority, but ultimately to determine the cost of each individual episode of patient care in Kumudini Hospital.
• This will require an ability to understand the information available from a number of separate systems and work with Accounts, IT, Procurement, Clinicians, Operations, and Departmental Managers to develop an effective and reliable solution.
• As responsible of the cost accounting initiative and contribution margin reporting, provide support to financial analysts as required for budgeting and forecasting purposes.
• Collect cost information and maintain an expenses database. Calculate all direct and indirect costs and propose keys to allocate them for each billable product and or service.
• Prepare periodic cost forecasts (monthly, quarterly and annual).
• Compare budgeted cost to actual costs and report them monthly.
• Report all expenses in a way that proposes cost trimming (Cost control).
• Design and implement a cost accounting system with digital tools to improve cost- efficiency, decision-making, and departmental accountability (Data analytics).
• Develop KPIs to measure margin improvements. Ensure optimization of pricing standards and pricing models across various specializations and services.
