Experience:
At least 3 years of relevant experience in Monitoring & Evaluation of any developing project. Designing and programming database management systems is an added experience. Must be able to perform problem-solving, debugging, tuning, and database security is required.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in teams and multi-cultural environments.
Good report writing in English.
Fluency in Bengali and English is required. A Chitaguniyan local language is preferable.
Computer software skills (MS Word, Excel and Access, F2Go, Kobo, etc.). Experienced in computer
applications.
Excellent e-mail communication with both donors and partners.
Habituated to extensive field work·
Need reporting skills and mail communications.
Responsibilities & Context
Women’s Federation for World Peace Bangladesh (WFWP-BD) is a national NGO working in partnership with UN Women Bangladesh. WFWP -BD is implementing Women Empowerment project in Rohingya Camps and Host area of Ukhiya and Teknaf Upazila under the Cox’s Bazar district. WFWP-BD is seeking applications from potential candidates for the mentioned position:
Post type: Contractual (November’ 2024 – April’ 2025)
SCOPE OF ROLE:
Staff reportable to Project Manager, Program Focal of WFWP- BD. Staff maintain liaison with All project staff, Program focal WFWP-BD, Representatives of Donor (WVB), Staff based in Cox’s Bazar District. Working Area: Rohingya Camps and Ukhiya and Teknaf Upazila Host Community.
Workplace: Work at the office and Field visit is required
OVERALL ROLE OF THIS POSITION:
Assist the PM in planning, monitoring, and supervising the implementation of project activities.
Develop and implement a robust monitoring and evaluation (M&E) system for the project, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Conduct regular field visits to monitor project progress, assess results, and identify any challenges or deviations.
Collect and manage data related to project activities, outcomes, and indicators.
Prepare regular progress reports and other M&E reports for the PM, WFWP-BD Management, and donor
Liaise with partner NGOs, government agencies, and local communities to facilitate data collection and ensure project compliance.
Assist in conducting baseline surveys and impact assessments to measure project effectiveness.
Provide technical support to Field Facilitators on M&E and data collection methods.
Organize and participate in trainings on M&E for project stakeholders.
Assist the PM in ensuring quality and timely completion of project deliverables.
Perform any other duties assigned by the PM as per instruction from WFWP-BD Management.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
A. The M&E Officer will be responsible for regular monitoring in compliance with project database systems.
B. Responsible for training, IGA support activities, cash for work, etc. tracking, writing, and reporting;
C. Other responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.
D. WFWP-BD maintains core Principles of PSEA.
