∎ MedGlobal is an international medical organization registered in Bangladesh as a non-profit that provides health and nutrition services to people in need, including refugees and displaced persons, in disaster and underserved regions. The organization is composed of medical and public health volunteers of diverse backgrounds.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Logistics and Security Officer is responsible for ongoing liaison and procurement with MG vendors and local partners to ensure that program activities are communicated in an effective and efficient manner across all local actors as well as to the international community, when necessary. The position holder is also responsible for the organization of the distinction process and efficient management of project documentation.
∎ DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ Work on MoUs with government entities, local partners (other NGOs), track and effectively organize all project documentation.
∎ Liaise with all relevant national NGOs, local authorities with the aims of facilitating coordination with national NGOs and humanitarian actors to promote joint or collaborative activities
∎ Obtain visas, permits, security, customs and police clearances as needed.
∎ Arrange accommodation and transportation for staff members and volunteers.
∎ Accountable for the organization of reliable and cost-effective local procurement processes.
∎ Responsible for all program procurements and documentations according to the policy of MedGlobal Bangladesh.
∎ Responsible and accountable for the overall success of all logistics, procurement, warehousing and proper preserving processes.
∎ Work with the program team leaders to ensure that all logistics, procurement processes are followed during the projects' implementation.
∎ Track and update all logistics and procurement sheets as per MG policies and procedures.
∎ Update all MedGlobal Bangladesh tracking sheets.
∎ Develop and foster relationships with the local law enforcing and intelligence agencies and FDMN camp and Camp administration.
∎ Translate, follow and obtain legal administrative documents related to the implementation of programs in collaboration with the Country Representative.
∎ Responsible for receiving/handling all the quotations,invoices and receipts to each payment.
∎ Translate any procurement documents to English, if needed.
∎ Update MedGlobal Bangladesh and headquarter office with the local security situation on a weekly basis.
∎ Perform other duties as requested by the Country Representative - Bangladesh or the Head of Office.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 35 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Minimum 05 years experience of liaison and representation with senior level authorities.
∎ Minimum of 03 years of experience in working with INGOs.
∎ Familiarity and good knowledge of social, political and economic conditions in the country.
∎ Basic ideas about the exclusive legal procedures.
∎ Ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships with a wide variety of national NGOs and related networks/consortia, government, UN and international NGOs.
∎ Willing to travel regularly within designated areas of work.
∎ Knowledge of humanitarian principles, standards and other humanitarian related issues.
∎ Strong Communication and language skills, should be fluent in both Bangla and English.
