Responsibilities & Context:
∎ We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Logistics Accounts Officer to manage the financial and accounting aspects of our logistics operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for tracking expenses, managing budgets, and ensuring accurate financial reporting related to logistics activities. This role requires a strong understanding of both logistics processes and accounting principles.
∎ Key Responsibilities:
∎ Monitor and manage logistics-related expenses, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory costs.
∎ Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for logistics operations.
∎ Reconcile invoices, purchase orders, and delivery receipts to ensure accuracy.
∎ Track and report on key financial metrics, such as cost per shipment, inventory turnover, and transportation costs.
∎ Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize costs and improve efficiency.
∎ Process payments to suppliers, carriers, and third-party logistics providers.
∎ Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts for logistics operations.
∎ Ensure compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting requirements.
∎ Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
∎ Maintain and update logistics-related accounts in the accounting system.
∎ Support audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.Liaise with internal departments (e.g., finance, procurement, and operations) to ensure smooth financial operations.
