Responsibilities & Context:
Operate freight and personnel lifts to safely transport workers, materials, and tools between designated floors or areas.
Communicate effectively with ground crew and personnel using standardized hand signals, intercoms, or two-way radios.
Conduct routine pre-operational and in-operation safety checks to ensure proper functioning of the lift.
Ensure that the lift is not overloaded and operates within designated weight limits at all times.
Monitor lift operations closely and report any unusual noises, malfunctions, or safety concerns to the maintenance team immediately.
Adhere strictly to site-specific safety protocols, operational procedures, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness within the lift cabin and operational area.
Support emergency procedures, including lift shutdown or evacuation protocols, as trained.
Complete any other duties assigned by the supervisor or facility management.
