∎ POSITION OVERVIEW
∎ We are looking for a Lab Technician who is energetic, disciplined and proactive with a strong understanding of pathological tests, reporting, documentations, health research and basic administrative management.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Lab Technician will report to Project Coordinator for admin and management and to Clinical Coordinator for professional matters. He/She will devote time as per following broad headings:
∎ Lab Testing and Pathological Management (80%)
∎ Work in close liaison with doctors and carry out tests as necessary.
∎ Regularly record and review the test reports.
∎ Monitoring patients record, investigations and collecting data & information
∎ Promote and maintain effective partnership with other health posts.
∎ Ensure timely requisition, procurement and availability of testing reagents and other supplies necessary for smooth functioning of Lab.
∎ Support the collection and accurate reporting of impact data related to the project as guided by the Clinical Coordinator (CC) and Project Coordinator (PC).
∎ Networking: 5% of time
∎ Visit local Govt. admin authorities, NGOs/INGOs and stakeholders, with the prior permission of PC and CC to build rapport and understanding
∎ Others 5% of time
∎ Attend in-house and outside training as directed by the CC and PC.
∎ Keep Lab area neat, clean and tidy at all times.
∎ Work in close liaison with the CC and PC and submit periodical reports.
∎ Attend meetings as directed by the CR and PM.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Skills
∎ Working Skill in a clinical setting
∎ Demonstrated experience of working closely in Labs, especially in emergency and refugee camps.
∎ Working experience in an NGO is an asset.
∎ Fluency in Bangla and Rohingya/local Cox's Bazar dialect is preferable.
∎ Effective presentation of relevant information (oral & written)
∎ Willingness to travel in field areas, proficiency in computer is needed.
∎ Qualifications and Experience
∎ A minimum of 6+ months of experience at INGO/NGO
∎ Experience in developing SBC materials and messages particularly on SGBV and Reproductive health rights of the women and girls is preferred.
∎ Experience in training facilitation and strong interpersonal communication skill with the ability to communicate and negotiate clearly and effectively at all levels.
∎ Experience in working in Cox's Bazar area and, especially in FDMN camp will be an advantage.
