• Prepare Patients for Scans: Assist patients in getting ready for the ultrasonography procedure, ensuring correct positioning, privacy, and comfort.
• Set Up Equipment: Ensure the ultrasound machine and related equipment are properly cleaned, calibrated, and ready for use.
• Support During Procedure: Assist the sonologist or doctor during the scanning process by handling tools, positioning the patient, and maintaining workflow.
• Apply and Clean Gel: Apply ultrasound gel to the required area before the scan and clean the area afterward.
• Image and Data Handling: Capture or organize scan images, and ensure correct labeling and transfer to the reporting system.
• Maintain Patient Confidentiality: Protect patient privacy by keeping medical and personal information strictly confidential.
• Keep the Scan Room Clean: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the ultrasound room and equipment as per medical standards.
• Manage Patient Flow: Call patients according to their serial numbers and guide them through the scanning process.
• Assist in Emergency Cases: Be ready to assist in urgent ultrasonography cases by preparing equipment and alerting medical staff.
• Deliver Reports: Ensure completed scan reports are handed over to the patient or concerned department in a timely and accurate manner.
