Job Context:
∎ The Centre for Disability in Development (CDD) is a not for profit organization established in 1996 to develop a more inclusive society for persons with disabilities. CDD simultaneously builds technical capacities of the development stakeholders and the communities in how to be more inclusive whilst also enabling persons with a disability to participate in society by strengthening their leadership and providing them with essential rehabilitation and other supports.
∎ CDD is one of the most renowned organizations in the field of disability-inclusive development. CDD`s work in Bangladesh is supported by international and national donor agencies/development partners. CDD offers an inclusive, amicable, and respectable work environment.
∎ The Ramon Magsaysay Award (Asian version of the Noble prize) has been awarded to its Executive Director in 2010. In 2018, CDD was recognized by the Government of Bangladesh as one of the best organizations working on disability and development issues.
∎ CDD is implementing a project titled `Disability Inclusive Development-Inclusive Education Task Order-13 in collaboration with Sightsavers having funding from UKAid..The aim of the project is to Children with disabilities are enrolled, retained and demonstrate progress in learning and have increased self-confidence to participate in their learning environment; support to the rights of children with disabilities to access education and meet their learning needs. And families, community and civil society including DPOs and CSOs have knowledge and skills to advocate for inclusive education policy changes at school and national levels.
∎ Inclusive Education Facilitator/will ensure efficient and effective implementation of project focusing the log-frame and Theory of Change of the project. Disability inclusive Education in the field of Narsangdir Sadar ensuring optimum utilization of resources

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Maintain strong relationship with OPD members, engage OPD members in the activities as per agreement and following OPD engagement strategy.
∎ Maintain strong relation with closely with, governing body e.g. Education Officer/ Assistant Education Officer/ Upazill Resource Centre etc. to enhance and implement the project work efficiently.
∎ work closely with School Management Committee (SMC), teachers of selected schools
∎ support OPD members to actively engage with local government committee espceicly education committee.
∎ Maintain strong communication with the students with disabilities, identify their educational need, required support to increase quality education.
∎ To prepare appropriate project implementation and monitoring plan along with other project involved staff, partners staff and OPDs leaders on projected proposed activities, especially on inclusive education.
∎ Maintain appropriate record keeping on project documentations.
∎ implement the work following the action plan of the project guided by the Project Coordinator.
∎ Organize awareness and capacity development events, in consultation with the Management, and ensure proper and timely implementation of field activities within allocated budget.
∎ To develop maintain communication and support to arrange different meeting with DSS, DPE, One Stop Service Centre (OSSC - JPUF) and existing self-help group leaders, OPDs, resource pool and other stakeholders based in Narshingdi.
∎ Strongly follow-up the field- based activity in due time.
∎ Keep update the database e information learners with disability in target primary schools along with severe and multiple disability are out of schools following the prescribed format developed by CDD.
∎ Provide strong support to CDD & to Sightsavers during programme monitoring visit.
∎ As per assigned by project management team/authority, represent/participate in different meetings, training, seminars, workshops, and maintain contact with different government and development agencies with the aim of mobilizing resources and dissemination information for the development of inclusive education and disability rights issues.
∎ To maintain regular contact with local level Government / Non-government Officials/partners staff/self-help group and other disability like-minded networks working for promotion of services/disability rights/policy issues and creating scopes/opportunities for the children with disability within existing development programme
∎ Establish effective collaboration/networking linkages with disability, education, health & rights-based organisations/forums (GO-NGO].
∎ To train up the children/youth with disability at schools, community selective learning spaces and at home as well as their daily living and social skills based required capacity development areas as per designed under the IE project.
∎ Perform any other assignment as assigned by the concern manager and CDD authority.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 40 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Working knowledge on Education
∎ Experience in working with community groups.
∎ Experience in working with Local Government.
∎ Able to mobilize the community and to facilitate meetings.
∎ Willingness and commitment to work closely with the persons with disabilities.
∎ Minimum 1 year of experience in working in education programme.
∎ Person with disabilities meeting the required qualifications is especially encouraged to apply

Salary: Tk. 27000 - 27500 (Monthly)
