Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master’s in Business Administration (BBA/MBA), Commerce, or a related field.

• Certification: Relevant certifications in Export-Import Management, Customs Bond Management, or VAT & Taxation are highly preferred

• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Trading or Export/Import

• Minimum 5-10 years of proven experience in import-export operations, licensing, or consultancy in Bangladesh. 

• Must have prior experience or demonstrable knowledge of handling compliance and logistics for raw food, spices, agricultural products, cosmetics, and chemicals.

• Must have a list of buyers of various imported products.

• Should have knowledge about any local manufactured products to export outside Bangladesh.

• Should have sound knowledge of Bank activities, customs rules & regulations related to import/export.

• Deep knowledge of the Import Policy Order, customs bond rules, and procedures at Sea Port and Airport is essential.

• Must be fluent in handling L/C clauses, indenting, bills of lading, and clearing documents via C&F agents.

Job Context:

We are a new trading company in Gulshan, Dhaka, looking to establish our operations in the import and export of raw food items, spices, agricultural products, cosmetics and chemicals. Market demand for imported products, buyers of the products, and marketing arrangements must be ensured throughout the year. We require an experienced consultant to guide us from company registration to successful trade operations.

Job Description / Responsibilities

• Manage the entire process to obtain a Trade License, TIN, VAT BIN, Import Registration Certificate (IRC), and Export Registration Certificate (ERC).

• Ensure legal compliance for all products, including mandatory nuclear radiation tests for food and chemicals, and securing necessary approvals from authorities like BSTI and the Department of Environment.

• Proven ability to coordinate with suppliers, banks (for L/C), shipping lines, and C&F agents for timely cargo release.

• Must know how to classify spices and food raw materials using the Bangladesh Customs Tariff (H.S. Code)

• Stay updated on the latest import policy and BSTI/BFSA regulations. Ensure all imports meet local food safety standards.

• Identify and communicate with exporters from different countries to source quality food materials and spices. Find the best sources and negotiate pricing and terms.

• Familiarity with BSTI certification processes and BFSA import requirements for food items and spices is critical.

• Handle export & import documentation (Bill of exchange, Invoice, Packing List, B/L, EXP,EP, IP, GSP, etc.)

• Liaise with suppliers for import-related activities

• Arrange for the sale of imported products according to market demand.

Salary Range : BDT 50000-120000/ (Depends upon experience)
