Experience:
Reviewing and processing shipment documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
Coordinating with freight forwarders and customs brokers to ensure timely shipments and customs clearance.
Communicating with suppliers or customers about the status of shipments and expected delivery dates.
Handling any issues related to documentation or customs clearance.
Tracking shipments and reporting any delays or issues.
Managing relationships with service providers (e.g., freight forwarders, couriers).
Ensuring that import/export processes are compliant with all relevant regulations.
Compliance and Regulation:
Ensure all import and export activities comply with national and international laws and regulations.
Stay updated on changes in trade laws, tariffs, and trade agreements.
Documentation:
Prepare and process all necessary documentation for import and export shipments, such as bills of lading, commercial invoices, and certificates of origin.
Verify accuracy and completeness of documents to avoid delays or penalties.
Customs Clearance:
Coordinate with customs authorities to facilitate the clearance of goods.
Address any issues or discrepancies that arise during the customs clearance process.
Logistics Coordination:
Arrange for transportation and storage of goods, including selecting carriers and negotiating rates.
Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery.
Risk Management:
Identify and manage potential risks associated with international trade, such as currency fluctuations and political instability.
Implement strategies to mitigate these risks.
Communication and Negotiation:
