∎ Experience of working in an outstanding boarding school: desirable.
∎ Membership of boarding schools associations or organisations

Job Context:
∎ Haileybury Bhaluka is a premier international boarding school, providing boys 11-18 years with an exceptional education. Opening in August 2023, initially for grades 6-8, the School will subsequently offer IGCEs and the IB Diploma programme.
∎ The Housemaster/Housemistress plays a key role in the wider life of the school. Reporting to the Headmaster, the postholder will be the Deputy Head Pastoral and a member of the Senior Leadership Team
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Establish boarding arrangements in a founding school
∎ Develop a care school culture
∎ Ensure students are safe, happy and successful
∎ Develop the school's boarding strategy consistent with the school mission
∎ Ensure that best practice boarding happens on a systematic basis
∎ Monitor all boys to ensure their personal safety and wellbeing
∎ Manage staff closely to ensure the best care of all boys in building and developing
∎ a thriving residential environment for the success of all students.
