Experience:

• 5 to 10 years

MBBS/MPH/MSC in Nutrition/ Environmental Science/ Civil Engineering/ Food Engineering or relevant subject. Higher degree will get preferable

• 5 to 10 years

• Age At most 50 years

• At least 5-10 years’ experience in any national/INGO/project/ Research Institute as a mid-level managerial position. Experience in managing WASH, health, or nutrition programs, preferably within an NGO or international development organization.

• At least 2 weeks field visits mandatory.

• Able to project proposal development in WASH, Health & Nutrition sector.

• Able to lead as a sectoral head of WASH, Health & Nutrition and lead as a team leader of all projects under WASH, Health & Nutrition sector and in this connection necessary field trip mandatory.

• Excellent English report writing skills. Computer skills is mandatory.

• Able to lead a big team consists of 10-15 projects in 5-8 districts catchment areas.

• Strong communication skills and able to facilitation, collaborations and coordination with donors, government officials.

• Strong capacity of problem solving.

• Proven experience in project management, including budget oversight, stakeholder coordination, and team leadership.

• Strong understanding of global public health issues, WASH best practices, and nutrition interventions.

• Experience working with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, donors, and local communities.

• Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide large, multi-disciplinary teams.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with community members and stakeholders at all levels.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to inform decision-making.

• Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation techniques, particularly in health and WASH projects.

• Ability to work in challenging environments, with a focus on flexibility and adaptability.

• Fluency in both English and local languages.

Job Context:

The Head of WASH, Health & Nutrition will provide strategic leadership and management for ESDO’s various projects focused on water, sanitation, hygiene, healthcare, and nutrition interventions. The individual will be responsible for overseeing program design, implementation, monitoring, and stakeholder engagement to ensure that projects are effectively delivered to meet community needs. This role requires strong leadership in public health, expertise in WASH and nutrition, and experience in managing multi-sectoral programs in diverse settings.

Job Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership and Program Development:

• Develop and oversee the implementation of ESDO’s WASH, health, and nutrition strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and donor priorities.

• Lead the design and planning of comprehensive WASH, health, and nutrition programs to address the needs of vulnerable communities.

• Ensure that project goals are achieved within set timelines and budgets, while maintaining high standards of quality and impact.

Project Management and Implementation:

• Oversee the implementation of multiple WASH, health, and nutrition projects, ensuring efficient and effective execution.

• Coordinate project activities across different locations, ensuring proper resource allocation and task distribution among field teams.

• Monitor project progress, ensuring that activities are completed on time, within scope, and in accordance with donor requirements.

Salary: Tk. 70,000 to 80,000/- (Monthly). Salary will be negotiable in case of highly competent candidate.
