• At least 5 years

• Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance, Insurance
• Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance, Insurance

• Bachelor's / Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, or related discipline.

• Professional insurance related qualification will be an advantage.

• At least 5 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Insurance

• Age At least 35 years

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 05 years of underwriting experience in the general insurance industry.

• Strong knowledge of fire, marine, motor, engineering, and miscellaneous insurance.

Skills Required

• Risk assessment and analytical ability.

• Leadership and team management.

• Report writing and documentation.

• Communication and negotiation skills.

• Computer proficiency (MS Office / Insurance software).

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all underwriting operations of the company.

• Develop underwriting strategies, policies, and risk assessment guidelines.

• Evaluate insurance proposals and determine appropriate terms, conditions, and pricing.

• Monitor underwriting portfolio performance and profitability.

• Coordinate with reinsurance partners regarding treaty and facultative placements.

• Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines, regulatory requirements, and company policies.

• Provide technical support to branches and marketing teams.

• Review high-value and complex risks before approval.

• Prepare underwriting reports, MIS, and portfolio analysis.

• Well aware about IDRA rules & regulations regarding underwriting related issues.
