∎ Head of Compliance & Regulatory Affairs (RA) is a professional that works to maintain Bank`s legal and ethical integrity. His main role is to ensure that Bank policy is being followed by all department members and that the organization`s messaging and behavior reflect the rules and regulations of the company.
∎ Job Location: ICC Division, Head Office, Dhaka
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure policy /procedure /guideline are in place for operation of the branches/ divisions.
∎ Review policy documents, process guideline and Product Program Guideline for necessary engagement of Internal Control to ensure business initiatives comply with the regulatory and internal guidelines.
∎ Ensure timely response of queries from Bangladesh Bank, NBR, ACC & other regulatory bodies and timely submission of compliance of inspection report of Bangladesh Bank/ External Auditors.
∎ Ensure coordination with the inspection/investigation team of Bangladesh Bank/External Auditors during conducting inspection on Branches, Head Office and the subsidiary companies and ensure compliance thereof.
∎ Ensure compliance of recommendations / observations of Audit Committee of the Board of Directors of the Bank on the findings of Internal Auditors / External Auditors/Bangladesh Bank Inspection team and liaison maintains with the Regulators/ External Auditors etc.
∎ Review the compliance of recommendations / findings of the Internal Auditors by the Branches / divisions and follow up thereof.
∎ Engage in active dialogue with concerned stakeholders for sharing audit findings and possible impact of lapses for necessary awareness and resolutions.
∎ Ensure compliance of Regulatory Requirement by on site / off site monitoring across the bank and circulation of Bangladesh Bank and other regulatory instruction/guideline to all concerned and implementation/compliance thereof.
∎ Issue circular/guideline on control points in light with regulatory requirement & the business need.
∎ Keep the board and management updated about the changes in the regulatory guidelines/instructions and changes in others rules & regulations (if any) and assist the employees at each level in performing operation in compliance with regulatory requirement and reporting to concern.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 10 years of banking experience with sound knowledge in Credit Risk Management/ Foreign Exchange/ General Banking/ Trade Services/Operations/ Compliance & Regulatory Reporting etc.
∎ Well conversant with Bank Companies Act, Bangladesh Bank Circulars & Guidelines, Market Risks, Financial Instruments, Risk Management, Bangladesh Bank Guidelines as well as Bank's Internal Policies etc.
∎ Has to have previous delicate track record to work hand in hand with Department of Banking Inspection (DBI) , Department of Off-site Supervision ( DOS ), moreover , all BB regulatory Departments.
∎ Excellent interpersonal, communication & presentation skills and Strong analytical ability & leadership quality
∎ Strong command over Microsoft Word, Excel & Power Point and Hardworking ability to work under pressure.
∎ Area of Dimension:
∎ BB ICC Guideline, Internal ICC Policy, Types of Audit, Process of Audit, Compliance & Monitoring, All the Risk based Guidelines & Policies imposed by BB.
