∎ MSS or M.Sc in Geography & Environment/ Disaster Management or any relevant discipline. Higher degree will get preferable

∎ Age at most 50 years
∎ At least 5-10 years’ experience in any national/INGO/project/ Research Institute as a mid-level managerial position.
∎ At least 2 weeks field visits mandatory.
∎ Able to project proposal development in Climate/DRR sector.
∎ Able to lead as a sectoral head of Climate and lead as a team leader of all projects under Climate Action sector and in this connection necessary field trip mandatory.
∎ Excellent English report writing skills.
∎ Computer skills is mandatory.
∎ Able to lead a big team consists of 10-15 projects in 5-8 districts catchment areas.
∎ Strong communication skills and able to facilitation, collaborations and coordination with donors, government officials.
∎ Strong capacity of problem solving.
∎ Experience in climate change adaptation, mitigation, or environmental management
∎ Proven experience in managing large-scale climate action projects, including proposal development, project implementation, and stakeholder engagement.
∎ Expertise in climate-smart technologies, sustainable resource management, and climate risk assessment.
∎ Strong understanding of national and global climate change policies, frameworks, and funding mechanisms.
∎ Experience in working with diverse stakeholders, including local governments, donors, and grassroots organizations.
∎ Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to drive impactful climate action initiatives.
∎ Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage complex projects across multiple geographies.
∎ Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
∎ Analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in conducting environmental risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies.
∎ Ability to work in challenging environments and adapt to changing climate conditions.
∎ Fluency in both English and local languages.

∎ Lead the design and execution of climate change adaptation and mitigation projects, including initiatives related to renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, disaster risk reduction, and ecosystem restoration.
∎ Promote innovation by integrating climate-smart technologies and approaches into program activities to foster community resilience.
∎ Oversee the planning, implementation, and monitoring of multiple climate-related projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
∎ Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of project activities in the field.
∎ Manage relationships with local communities and partners to ensure projects are tailored to address local climate challenges.
∎ Job Context:
∎ The Head of Climate Action will lead and oversee the strategic development, implementation, and management of ESDO’s climate change-related projects. The individual will be responsible for driving climate resilience and mitigation efforts, building community awareness, and collaborating with stakeholders to promote sustainable environmental practices. This role requires expertise in climate change adaptation, mitigation strategies, and project management, alongside a passion for driving impactful climate action.

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Salary: Tk. 70,000 to 80,000/- (Monthly). Salary will be negotiable in case of highly competent candidate.
∎ Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Festival Bonus 2(Yearly) & Boishakhi allowance, Provident Fund, Gratuity & others benefit as per organizational policy.
