Responsibilities & Context:
Job Context
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Graphic Designer for a print newspaper. The candidate must have strong expertise in page makeup and layout design. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and/or QuarkXPress is mandatory.
Job Responsibilities
Design and finalize newspaper pages following editorial guidelines
Apply journalism knowledge to ensure proper headline hierarchy and news presentation
Coordinate with editors, reporters, and advertisement team for accurate content placement
Create designs for the company’s printing press, including promotional and special print materials
Check and correct design errors before final print
Educational Requirements
HSC
Professional training in Graphic Design software will be an advantage
Experience Requirements
Minimum 1 years of experience in newspaper or print media
Strong expertise in Adobe Illustrator or QuarkXPress
Practical experience in newspaper page makeup is required
