∎ Job Overview: As the General Manager of the Research and Development (R&D) Department of Believe International Pvt. Ltd., you will play a pivotal role in driving the company`s innovation agenda, leading a team of talented scientists, researchers, and engineers. You will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, planning, execution, and delivery of R&D projects, ensuring they align with our company`s objectives and market trends. Your expertise will be crucial in fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and collaboration within the R&D department.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Leadership and Strategy: Develop and communicate the department's vision, mission, and long-term strategic goals in alignment with the company's overall objectives.
∎ Provide strong leadership to the R&D team, promoting a culture of creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement.
∎ Collaborate with senior management to identify and prioritize research areas that drive product innovation and enhance market competitiveness.
∎ Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and scientific advancements to identify potential opportunities for future growth.
∎ Project Management and Execution: Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of R&D projects, including project planning, resource allocation, timeline management, and budget control.
∎ Foster cross-functional collaboration by partnering with other departments, such as Marketing, Supply Chain, and Quality Assurance, to ensure successful product development and launch.
∎ Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and provide timely updates to stakeholders regarding milestones, deliverables, and budget adherence.
∎ Foster a culture of rigorous testing, experimentation, and data-driven decision-making to achieve reliable and high-quality outcomes.
∎ Team Management and Development: Build and develop a high-performing R&D team, attracting top talent, and nurturing their professional growth through mentorship, training, and performance evaluations.
∎ Promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages knowledge sharing, open communication, and creative thinking.
∎ Set clear expectations, goals, and objectives for team members, providing regular feedback and recognition for their contributions.
∎ Foster a culture of safety, compliance, and ethical conduct within the R&D department.
∎ Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, such as Product Development, Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, and Sales, to understand market needs and translate them into innovative product concepts.
∎ Establish and maintain effective partnerships with external research organizations, universities, and suppliers to leverage their expertise, stay at the forefront of industry trends, and explore potential collaborations.
∎ Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and scientific forums to enhance brand visibility and establish the company as a thought leader in personal care innovation.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Proven experience in a leadership role within the R&D department of a multinational personal care or consumer goods company.
∎ Demonstrated track record of successfully leading and delivering complex R&D projects from concept to commercialization.
∎ Strong knowledge of personal care product development, formulation, and regulatory requirements.
∎ Deep understanding of scientific research methodologies, experimental design, and statistical analysis.
∎ Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire multidisciplinary teams.
∎ Strategic mindset, with the ability to think innovatively and drive continuous improvement.
∎ Proficient in project management tools and methodologies.
