Responsibilities & Context:
Key Responsibilities
Supervision & Leadership: Train, schedule, and supervise heavy-duty mechanics and apprentices.
Maintenance Management: Plan and prioritize preventative and corrective maintenance.
Technical Support: Assist with complex diagnostics for hydraulic, powertrain, and electrical systems.
Safety & Compliance: Enforce OSHA and company safety standards, ensuring equipment is safe to operate.
Inventory & Budgeting: Requisition parts and monitor repair costs.
Quality Control: Inspect completed repairs to meet manufacturer specifications.
Requirements & Skills
Extensive experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic.
Strong diagnostic skills for industrial machinery.
Leadership abilities to manage and train personnel.
Knowledge of safety regulations and computerized diagnostic tools.
