Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
- Having Diploma in Hotel Management/ Hospitality Management/ Food & Beverage management will be preferred.

- Ability to coordinate effectively with doctors, dietitians, nurses, kitchen staff and patients.
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary hospital team.
- Having relevant experience in Food & Beverage, Hospitality, Hospital Food Service, Restaurant or Institutional Catering will be preferred.
- Experience in hospital/IPD food service will be preferred.
- Supervisory experience in managing food service staff will be an advantage.
Responsibilities & Context:
Job Summary
The Food Supervisor (IPD Services) is responsible for supervising and coordinating food service operations for in-patients. The position ensures that meals are prepared, handled and delivered safely, hygienically, accurately and on time, according to prescribed diets, hospital policies and patient service standards.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise daily food distribution and meal services for IPD patients.
- Ensure patients receive the correct food according to their prescribed diet.
- Verify patient name, bed number, diet type and special dietary requirements.
- Coordinate with Dietitian, Nursing, Kitchen and F&B teams.
- Supervise Food Service Attendants/Waiters and distribute daily duties.
- Monitor food quality, quantity, temperature, presentation and hygiene.
- Ensure timely delivery and collection of patient meal trays.
- Ensure proper handling of special/therapeutic diets such as diabetic, low-salt, soft and liquid diets.
- Monitor compliance with food safety, hygiene, sanitation and infection-control standards.
- Handle patient complaints and provide appropriate service solutions.
- Maintain records of meal distribution, special diets, complaints and food wastage.
- Monitor portion control and minimize unnecessary food wastage.
- Ensure proper cleaning and sanitation of trays, crockery and cutlery.
- Monitor staff grooming, uniform, personal hygiene and professional conduct.
- Report operational problems, incorrect meals, delays or service issues to management.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth and uninterrupted IPD food service.
- Follow hospital SOPs, policies and quality standards.
- Perform other duties assigned by the F&B Manager or management.
