Diploma in Fire Technology / Fire Safety / Mechanical / Electrical or relevant discipline
Fire Safety Training Certificate from FSCD will be preferred

Additional Requirements:

Sound knowledge of fire safety systems and equipment
Practical knowledge of FSCD compliance and audit requirements
Physically fit and able to work in emergency situations
Strong sense of responsibility and discipline
Ability to work in shifts if required

Hashem Foods Limited is looking for a skilled and responsible Fire Technician to ensure fire safety compliance, maintenance of fire protection systems, and overall workplace safety at the factory premises.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain, monitor, and inspect all fire safety equipment, including fire pumps, fire hydrants, fire extinguishers, fire alarm systems, and sprinkler systems.

• Ensure all fire protection systems comply with applicable safety codes and standards, including NFPA and local regulations.

• Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing, servicing, repairs, and preventive maintenance schedules.

• Provide technical support during fire drills, emergency situations, and evacuation exercises.

• Participate in fire drills, physical training, and practical instruction on fire-fighting techniques and the proper use of fire-fighting equipment, while maintaining the required level of physical fitness.

• Assist the Fire Manager / Fire Officer in inspecting fire hydrant systems and verifying the availability and adequacy of emergency water supplies.

• Provide basic first aid to injured or distressed persons until medical assistance or an ambulance arrives.

• Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify fire and safety hazards prior to the start of industrial activities.

• Clean and maintain all fire-fighting apparatus, including hoses, nozzles, and related equipment, according to scheduled maintenance plans.

• Ensure fire safety compliance during hot work activities, including welding, cutting, brazing, soldering, and grinding, in accordance with approved hot work permit procedures.

Educational Qualification:
SSC/Diploma or below may be considered for candidates with strong practical experience and proven skills in fire safety.
