Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting
∎ Sound knowledge of the country's tax and VAT regulations
∎ Skills in using Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Word and Excel
∎ 2 to 3 years' experience in the related field
∎ Ability to work under pressure and competing deadlines
∎ Experience in using accounting software (Quickbooks experience is preferred)
∎ Good communication skills in both Bangla and English
∎ Preferred Professional Certification: CA CC (partly qualified will get preference)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Posting accounting entries in the accounting software (Quickbooks) on a timely and regular basis
∎ Ensuring accuracy and completeness of accounting transactions in accordance with financial procedures
∎ Ensuring compliance with Income Tax Ordinance 1984 and VAT Act 2012
∎ Deduction and deposit of TDS and VDS
∎ Ensuring compliance in processing invoices and payments
∎ Maintaining Tax and VAT records
∎ Ensuring smooth payables management
∎ Always keeping files up to date and guaranteeing proper filing of relevant supporting documents for future reference, including audits
∎ Performing regular integrity checks of accounting entries and account balances
∎ Participating in monthly financial closing activities
∎ Generating relevant reports independently as required by the Management, Head of Group, as well as for other departments
∎ Knowing, applying and complying with all administrative and financial procedures and deadlines linked to his/her work
∎ Identifying anomalies or other issues and proposing solutions to the supervisor
∎ Maintaining relationships with bank personnel
∎ Liaison with relevant Government offices and other competent authorities if necessary
∎ Any other task assigned by the Manager/Head of Finance
