Job Context: An international NGO working in the field of Integrated and Sustainable Community Development, Disaster Response, Food Security, Community Health, Peace & Justice and both emergency aid and long-term rebuilding in natural and human-caused disasters invites applications from Bangladeshi nationals for the following position for its 5 (Five) years anticipated SRHR (Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights) project, which aims to Enhanced enjoyment of SRHR for vulnerable adolescent and youth girls (aged 10-24) in select communities in Dinajpur and Netrokona Districts, Bangladesh.
Purpose: This position is responsible for managing the financial aspects of the donor-funded project with detailed financial plans, forecasts, budgets, implementing the plans, controls, monitoring and reporting of financial operations and management. S/he provides leadership and guidance on compliance with the institutional donor compliance requirements, provide field office and partner’s financial reports review, collation and reporting, and conduct variance analysis in alignment with project progress monitoring and reporting.
Responsibilities: Financial Management and Partner Financial Reporting:
Support partners in preparation and review of their budget revision requests cost-work plans and cash flow projections per donor and NGO Bureau Guidelines.
To support the partner organizations wherever required to meet the donor compliance/finance requirements, such as prepare wire request, internal wire transfer, monthly reports and coordination.
Carry out internal and external audits and undertake six monthly health checks of the partners.
Analyse and monitor partner financial reports, on a monthly and quarterly basis within an agreed timetable.
Work with Project Lead to ensure that all internal control (policy) and donor requirements are disseminated to the teams and partners.
Prepare any project budget amendment/revision requests and submit it to donor, NGO Affairs Bureau, etc.
To ensure the partner due diligence information collected is regularly reviewed and updated on a timely basis.
Participate in procurement and selection of auditors and manage audit logistics and ensure timely reports and that they are shared.
Prepare & Review posting and journal transactions on SAGE Intacct web-based software.
Preparation of statutory obligations including Tax, VAT and all compliance for SRHR staff and partners.
