Position Summary:
BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD) at Brac University in Dhaka, Bangladesh, seeks someone to support the project “Voting Behaviour and Campaign Strategy in National Election of Bangladesh” under the Governance and Politics Cluster at BIGD. We are seeking an individual with substantial experience in managing field programs.
Location: Applicants from any region of Bangladesh are welcome to apply; however, candidates from Chattogram, Cumilla, Dhaka, Khulna, Pabna, Panchagarh, and Sunamganj are especially encouraged.
Employment Type: Full-time contractual
Job Responsibilities:
Conduct semi-structured field interviews with respondents following a detailed fieldwork checklist.
Gather qualitative data on household and community discussions related to the upcoming elections.
Record information on key local issues, concerns, and perceptions about political parties and candidates.
Monitor and document sources of political information, including social media, news outlets, and interpersonal communication.
Ensure accurate, unbiased, and ethical data collection, maintaining confidentiality and informed consent.
Submit well-organized interview notes, transcripts, and reports within specified deadlines
