Job Context:
∎ Eco-Social Development Organization (ESDO) started its journey in 1988 with a noble vision to stand in solidarity with the poor and marginalized. Being a peoples` centered organization, ESDO envisioned for a society which will be free from inequality and injustice, a society where no child will cry from hunger and no life will be ruined by poverty. About three decades of relentless efforts to make this happen, ESDO has embraced new grounds and opened up new horizons to help the disadvantaged and vulnerable people bring meaningful and lasting changes in their lives. During this long span, ESDO has adapted to the changing situation and provided the most time-bound services, especially for the poor and disadvantaged. A community-focused and people-centered approach has been adopted by ESDO, while consideration was given to the national policy and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as its guiding principle. ESDO is one of the most dynamic organizations expanding its development interventions across 331 Upazilas under 51 districts of Bangladesh, covering over 10 million poor and vulnerable people.
∎ With the partnership of Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF), Eco-Social Development Organization ESDO is going to implement the ‘‘Community based Resilience, Women’s Empowerment and Action (CREA) Project’’ at Jamalpur with a goal “Build women’s leadership capacity and increased resilience of the most vulnerable communities to address climate change impact”. To achieve this goal,as a strategy, the project has been considered the five (5) outcomes. These are Outcome-1:Service providers both public and local government institutions are responsive, and increased access to the quality services of community specially women & girls.Outcome-2:Improved resilience of the most vulnerable coastal, char, hill, and haor communities to climate change impact. Outcome-3:Empowered women and girls are dealing with inequality, social injustice, violence incidences and participated in voice raising and protests. Outcome-4:Strong voices and decisions are in place against DVAW and child marriage. Decrease in rate of child marriage and DVAW in the selected climate vulnerable areas.Outcome-5:Risks related to poverty will be decreased with increased family income and alternative livelihoods options. To reached out the maximum impacts of the goal and outcomes, ESDO is inviting applications from the dynamic, potential, self-motivated, interested and qualified candidates fulfilling the below mentioned conditions for the proposed position.
∎ Field Facilitators is directly responsible for program implementation at root level. S/he is also responsible to monitor and facilitate the implementation of the planned activities of the project and regular communication with relevant stakeholders. All kind of formed groups is directly supervised and nursing by her/him. S/he will the primary key point to communicate with beneficiaries at community as well as union level.
∎ The Field Facilitator of CREA Project will play a key role in engaging with communities to promote women`s empowerment, build community resilience, and address gender-based violence in union level under Dewangonj Upazila. The Field Facilitator will be responsible for facilitating community dialogues, mobilizing communities, and supporting the implementation of project activities at the community level. They will work closely with the Project Officer and other project team members to ensure that project activities are implemented on time, within budget, and in compliance with project policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Community Mobilization:
∎ Facilitate community dialogues and mobilize communities to participate in project activities.
∎ Build relationships with community members and key stakeholders, including community leaders, women's groups, and youth groups.
∎ Develop and implement strategies to promote community engagement and ownership of project activities.
∎ Support the identification and selection of project beneficiaries, ensuring that they meet project eligibility criteria.
∎ Project Implementation:
∎ Support the implementation of project activities at the community level, including organizing community meetings, workshops, and other project events.
∎ Work closely with project beneficiaries to ensure that project activities are aligned with their needs and priorities.
∎ Facilitate training sessions on gender-based violence prevention, women's empowerment, and community resilience.
∎ Collect and analyze data on project activities, including monitoring and evaluation data, to inform project decision-making.
∎ Relationship Management:
∎ Build and maintain relationships with project partners, including government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders.
∎ Coordinate with other stakeholders to ensure that project activities are aligned with broader development objectives.
∎ Represent the project at meetings and events, as required.
∎ Compliance:
∎ Ensure compliance with project policies and procedures.
∎ Maintain accurate project records and ensure that all documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
∎ Assist in the preparation of project audits and other compliance-related activities.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 40 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Age limit will be relaxed for highly experience candidates.
∎ At least 2-3 years of experience working in community-based projects
∎ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
∎ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
∎ Understanding of women’s empowerment, climate change, governance and gender equality issues
∎ Familiarity with community-based approaches to development
∎ Ability to speak the local language is an added advantage
∎ Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications

Salary: Tk. 20000 (Monthly)

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Two festival bonus equivalent of one month gross salary & other benefit according to the project allocation
