Job Context:
∎ Position Title : Field Facilitator/Organizer - WASH.
∎ Duty station/Location : Rohingya Refugee Camps (8E, 14), Ukiya and Cox`s Bazar Regional Office, CXB, Bangladesh.
∎ Start date : 1st March 2023.
∎ Reports to: Project Officer (WASH)- AGRAJATTRA GAC/BRAC Pooled Fund Project.
∎ Contract duration: Total project duration - 24 Months but initially Up to 31st Dec 2023 after successful completed probation period of 1st 03 Months, full-time position (with possibility of contract extension)
∎ Deadline for Applications : 28 Feb 2023.
∎ About you : To be successful in this role we expect you to be flexible and proactive in engaging with existing and potential programming in a changing operational context.
∎ Operational/Context Role : AGRAJATTRA is looking for an experience, competent and dedicated Project Officer - WASH for the project titled "Reduce the morbidity of water borne diseases and negative environmental impact related to using open and unimproved latrine by the disadvantaged Rohingya Refugees population through universal and equitable access to WASH services".
∎ The project wants to address the following the challenges under the project :
∎ (i) Pure safe-water crisis both Rohingya Camp: To supply of pure safe water for drinking and cooking purpose through renovation/decommission of inactive Water facilities in Rohingya Camp.
∎ (ii) Challenges of using improve/sanitary latrine by the Rohingya Community : To improve use of sanitary latrine in Rohingya Community.
∎ (iii) Challenges of environmental situation for liquid and solid waste management in Rohingya camps : To improve the environmental situation through systematic liquid and solid waste management.
∎ The Project is funded by Global Affairs Canada - GAC Pooled Fund and technical supported by BRAC.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Mobilize community for the WASH programme activities, organize house-to-house hygiene promotion visits,
∎ Focus group discussions and mass awareness campaigns to promote good hygiene practices within targeted communities.
∎ Mobilize community for the WASH programme activities, organize distribution of hygiene kits to promote good hygiene practices within targeted communities.
∎ Promote safe Arsenic and WASH practices, including appropriate use and maintenance of WASH facilities and services, and improved hygiene behaviors
∎ Enable effective dialogue with the affected / targeted community to allow the organization to be held to account for the quality of the WASH programme
∎ Help identify needs for non-food items relevant to hygiene, participate in the choice of items, targeting strategy, promotion of effective use, and post-distribution monitoring
∎ Assist in selecting, train, and manage Standing Committees from the targeted community (Community Water Management Committee members and other community volunteers) or other hygiene outreach workers within the targeted beneficiaries
∎ Assist the project team in the assessment for selection of upazilla & districts and communities for the WASH programme activities.
∎ Assist in the implementation of community events to raise awareness about key hygiene issues and their implications on the health of the community. Examples include "World water day" or "handwashing Days" and the progammes of hygiene and health education established in Schools, child friendly spaces, etc.
∎ Facilitate and conduct community level participatory hazard vulnerability, community action plans, capacity assessments and WASH assessments;
∎ Mobilize Camp official and community members for the Camp level WASH Programme activities and assist the Camp authorities and communities in preparation.
∎ Prepare and submit narrative weekly, monthly, quarterly, and other reports on the WASH activities including training and community mobilization.
∎ Assist in monitoring and ensuring proper field/camp data collection, analysis and storage
∎ Responsible for mobilizing staff and members of schools, Child friendly spaces and other institutions including establishment of hygiene and sanitation clubs and schools /institutions
∎ Conducting KAP surveys, household water sue/consumption surveys etc.
∎ Give support to the monitoring and evaluation team while performing their activities in the field.
∎ Any other related functions as may be required by the supervisor.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 40 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 03 years of experience in Field level works, especially in WASH
∎ Excellent oral and written (English and Bangla) communications skills(With Fluency in Local Language).
∎ Knowledge of the internet and good general computer skills.
∎ Highly organized, ability to work to strict deadlines.
∎ Sensitive to social mobilization and cultural issues.
∎ Team player and self-starter.
∎ Ability to priorities and organize work tasks.
∎ Flexible and able to embrace change positively.
∎ High sense of confidentiality and ability to conduct community session
