Education:
  • A Master’s degree in Physical Education / Sports Science

  • Strong swimming proficiency in freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly

  • Physically fit to conduct swimming and rescue activities

  • First Aid / CPR / Lifeguard certification will be added an advantage

  • Experience conducting both individual and group swimming lessons

  • Previous experience working in a school, sports club, or swimming academy

  • Knowledge of water safety rules and rescue techniques

  • Ability to design age-appropriate and skill-appropriate lesson plans

  • Demonstrated experience teaching non-swimmers and helping beginners overcome fear of water

  • Ability to assess student skill levels and track learning progress

  • Strong classroom and pool discipline management skills

  • Clear communication and effective instructional language

  • Commitment to student safety and child safeguarding policies



Responsibilities & Context:
  • Deliver age-appropriate swimming lessons for students from Grade 1 to DP 2 in line with the school’s Physical Education curriculum and IB philosophy.

  • Teach water safety, basic swimming skills, and progressive stroke development in a structured and engaging manner.

  • Ensure continuous supervision of students and maintain a safe and disciplined learning environment in and around the pool.

  • Prepare lesson plans aligned with school standards and learning objectives.

  • Assess students’ swimming abilities and provide feedback to the PE Coordinator and parents when required.

  • Maintain accurate attendance, student progress records, and incident reports.

  • Conduct daily inspection of pool facilities and promptly report any safety or maintenance issues.

  • Support school swimming galas, sports events, competitions, and aquatics-related extracurricular activities.

  • Collaborate with teachers, coordinators, and school administration for effective implementation of the swimming program.

  • Uphold school policies, IB standards, child safeguarding guidelines, and hygiene protocols at all times.
