Responsibilities & Context:
  • Maintain laboratory operations in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and ensure Data Integrity.

  • Prepare microbiological media, diluents, and reagents, and perform Growth Promotion Tests (GPT) as per approved procedures.

  • Conduct microbiological sampling and testing of Water, Raw Materials, Packaging Materials, Bulk and Finished Products, Microbial Contamination Tests, and Bacterial Endotoxins Tests (BET), including report preparation.

  • Perform Environmental Monitoring (EM), cleanroom microbiological monitoring, Cleaning Validation, and trend analysis of water and environmental monitoring results.

  • Carry out daily performance verification of pH meters, balances, and monitor microbiology laboratory equipment, ensuring timely maintenance.

  • Prepare, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Standard Test Procedures (STPs), and microbiology specifications in accordance with pharmacopeial standards, regulatory guidelines, and industry best practices.

  • Maintain laboratory records, logbooks, data sheets, inventory, and documentation to ensure compliance and audit readiness.

  • Operate microbiology laboratory instruments, including Zone Reader and Colony Counter, with proper documentation.

  • Supervise and support junior laboratory personnel to ensure efficient microbiology laboratory operations.
