Proficiency in CAM/Artcam software (e.g., Alphacam, Mastercam, WoodWOP, Fusion 360, or similar)
Strong knowledge of G-code and CNC machine operations.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and 3D models.Understanding of wood materials, joinery, and manufacturing processes.
Problem-solving mindset with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities & Context: - Develop design roadmaps for new product collections and seasonal launches.
- Oversee concept ideation, prototyping, and product finalization stages.
- Approve all furniture design concepts before sampling or mass production.
- Ensure all designs adhere to brand guidelines, quality, and cost parameters.
- Coordinate closely with production teams for technical feasibility and efficiency.
- Stay updated with global furniture design trends, materials, and technologies.
- Conduct competitor benchmarking and identify product gaps.
- Set annual design objectives aligned with company goals and market demand.
- Develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs for woodworking equipment (CNC routers, edge banders, drilling centers, etc.).
- Interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and specifications to generate accurate toolpaths.
- Select appropriate tools, speeds, and feeds for various wood materials and composites.
- Conduct test runs and verify first-piece quality to ensure program accuracy.
- Troubleshoot programming errors, mechanical issues, and machining challenges.
- Maintain program and tooling databases for efficient production workflow.
- Ensure CNC equipment is used safely and maintained properly.
- Continuously improve machining strategies to reduce cycle times and material waste.
- Develop and optimize CNC programs for milling and lathe machines.
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to create precise machining paths.
- Collaborate with production supervisors to troubleshoot and improve machining processes.
- Ensure all designs and samples are properly coded and documented in ERP/Drive systems.
