Context:
The Executive – Credit Control will be responsible for monitoring accounts receivable, following up on overdue payments, initiating recovery actions, and supporting legal processes to ensure timely collection in alignment with the company’s credit and recovery policies.
Responsibilities:
Follow up with clients, distributors, and dealers for outstanding or overdue payments via phone calls, emails, and field visits.
Prepare and implement recovery strategies and action plans for delinquent accounts.
Issue demand notices to defaulting customers and coordinate with legal teams to initiate appropriate legal actions when required.
Assist in gathering and organizing documentation for legal proceedings, including preparing case files and supporting evidence.
Attend court hearings, arbitration, or mediation sessions as a company representative when necessary.
Maintain and update customer aging reports, payment follow-up records, and case status logs regularly.
Ensure strict adherence to the organization’s credit control, collection, and risk mitigation policies.
Liaise with the Sales and Commercial teams to resolve payment disputes or customer claims.
Provide weekly and monthly reports on collection status, risk accounts, and recovery progress to management.
Continuously review and suggest improvements in the credit control process to reduce credit risk exposure.
