Additional Requirements:
MBBS from a recognized institution is required.
Valid BMDC certification is must.
Minimum 03 years of experience as EMO in any reputed hospital.
Responsibilities & Context:
Provide immediate medical attention to emergency and trauma patients.
Perform initial assessment, stabilization and management of critically ill patients.
Ensure quick diagnosis and initiation of treatment for life-threatening conditions like cardiac arrest, stroke, accident, poisoning, etc.
Carry out minor surgical / emergency procedures (suturing, wound dressing, catheterization, intubation, CPR, IV line, etc.).
Refer patients to specialized departments after stabilization.
Maintain proper patient documentation (case history, treatment given, investigations advised, referral notes).
Communicate with patients’ relatives regarding condition, treatment plan and necessary referrals.
Liaise with consultants, surgeons, anesthetists and specialists when advanced care is required.
Coordinate with diagnostic teams (radiology, pathology, lab) for urgent test reports.
Maintain proper records of special cases like accidents, assaults, poisoning, burns, etc. as per hospital policy.
Ensure proper documentation for death cases and issue medical certificates where applicable.
Maintain duty roster and attend duty on time.
Maintain proper handover of patients during shift changes.
Participate in hospital meetings, trainings, seminars, medical camps etc.
