Responsibilities & Context:

• Provide immediate assessment and medical care to patients presenting to the Emergency Department.

• Perform initial evaluation, triage, and stabilization of emergency patients.

• Manage emergency conditions and provide appropriate treatment according to hospital protocols.

• Perform or assist with CPR, BLS, and other emergency procedures when required.

• Monitor patients’ vital signs and clinical conditions and maintain accurate medical records.

• Request and interpret necessary laboratory and diagnostic investigations.

• Identify critically ill patients and promptly consult or refer to the appropriate Senior Consultant/Specialist.

• Coordinate with nurses, consultants, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely patient care.

• Maintain proper documentation of diagnosis, treatment, procedures, and patient progress. Hospital policies, infection-control guidelines, and patient-safety standards.

• Follow hospital rules, clinical protocols, SOPs and emergency department guidelines.

• Perform other duties assigned by the Emergency Department In-Charge or Hospital Management.

• Participate in emergency drills, training programs, CME sessions and clinical meetings.

• Communicate professionally and respectfully with patients and their attendants.
