Educational Requirements:
∎ Minimum Bachelors in Accounting / Finance / BBA or equivalent
∎ Preference will be given to those who have full or partial certification in CA or equivalent

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 12 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Manage the university’s financial control system
∎ Manage the university’s treasury functions
∎ Manage the annual budgeting process and its implementation
∎ Preparing management reports as and when requested by higher authority
∎ Be responsible for all statutory compliance and timely reporting to University Grants Commission, Ministry of Education, tax authorities and other statutory bodies
∎ Keep record of all accounting data and information; ensure safe-keeping of all financial documents of the University, including cash.
∎ Deal with the auditors, bankers, regulatory authorities, external advisers and other representative bodies.
∎ Assist the University authorities with loan application preparation, and regular monitoring and compliance of any loans received
∎ Manage the inventory record-keeping of movable fixed assets
∎ Assist with Internal Audits
∎ Deal with all VAT and tax related issues
∎ Manage digital accounting systems; ensure security and backup of all data and information
∎ Manage project accounts, including operating accounts and petty cash operations involving cash advances.
∎ Supervise employees in the Accounting and Finance Office
∎ Assess training needs of Accounting and Finance Office employees
∎ Manage all financial activities of external research projects funded by various local and foreign donors
∎ Propose ideas for development and greater efficiency of Accounting and Finance Office work, and helping in implementation of the same
∎ Any other job assigned by the university authority
