Educational Requirements:
∎ Minimum Masters in Finance / Accounting, MBA or equivalent;
∎ Preference will be given to candidates with full or partial certification in CA / CMA.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Operating and sharpening the University's Financial Control system;
∎ Executing and monitoring the University's Treasury Functions;
∎ Driving the University’s Financial Planning;
∎ Preparing Annual Budget for the University and periodic variance analysis as well as taking measures in addressing the variances;
∎ Preparing all types of Statutory and Management Reports, as and when required by higher authority;
∎ Ensuring implementation of recognized accounting standards in accounting practices;
∎ Be responsible for meeting all Statutory Compliance issues as well as timely reporting to University Grants Commission, Ministry of Education, Tax Authorities and other statutory bodies;
∎ Dealing with the Auditors, Bankers, Regulatory authorities, External advisers and other representatives of different bodies effectively;
∎ Preparing Current Cash Flow as well as projected Cash Flow for the University at regular intervals;
∎ Taking proactive measures for ensuing required cash flow for regular operations as well as different strategic developments;
∎ Keeping records of all accounting data and information in hard copy as well as in digital accounting system by ensuring security and backup;
∎ Ensuring safe-keeping the financial documents of the University;
∎ Arranging Credit Facilities for strategic investments and regularly monitoring compliance of terms and conditions of received Credit Facilities;
∎ Keeping inventory record for all movable fixed assets;
∎ Assisting the Statutory / Internal Auditors in carrying out their Audits properly;
∎ Dealing with all VAT and tax related issues of the University;
∎ Handling Bank account operations of the University as well as petty cash operations;
∎ Supervising and monitoring all financial activities of external research projects funded by various local and foreign donors;
∎ Taking proper steps in safeguarding University’s interest if there is any fraud forgery;
∎ Executing any other assignment as and when required by the University authority.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 12 year(s), with 5 years in Senior Management Role
