∎ The Digital Officer position is intended to enhance the digital reputation and positioning of the ICRC, furthering the goals and objectives of the digital strategy. S/he supports the ICRC`s efforts to connect with relevant audiences through digital content and channels by editing, creating and publishing content in different channels. He/she identifies social media trends and applies them appropriately in-house, creating and adapting best practices accordingly.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Manage ICRC delegation's social media accounts, publishes digital projects (i.e.: humanitarian campaigns), responses to user queries on digital platforms.
∎ Manage & prepare end to end process of social media engagement activity including creation, development of audio-visual elements (i.e.: videos, photos), optimizes search engine for better reach in collaboration with relevant teams.
∎ Conducts evaluations, produces social media reports on the growth and audience of their accounts and how content is performing - and makes recommendations based on results and implements them

∎ Identifies and seizes reactive opportunities, running and contributing digital input to quick turn-around campaigns, working internally with Public Relations and Audio-Visual Officers, and externally with media counterparts.
∎ Contributes to position the delegation on key themes and issues.
∎ Provides guidance to stakeholders on setting up and managing their own channels and accepted digital best practices.
∎ Participates in performance management process, evaluates performance, evaluates training needs as well as updating individual JD.
∎ Regular coaches, mentors & provides feedback deputies to ensure optimum performance & team efficiency.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Fluent command of English and Bengali. Additional languages an asset
∎ Skilled computer user of web publishing and design tools
∎ Professional requirements:
∎ 3-5 years' working experience in digital communications.
∎ Deep understanding/expertise of social media platforms, analytics tools and metrics
∎ Expertise in web editing and with search engine optimization
∎ Expertise with Ad management (Google Ads, Facebook, Twitter)
∎ Excellent public speaking skills
∎ Personal qualities for the position:
∎ Excellent sense of responsibility and confidentiality.
∎ Ability to empathize to people who are in vulnerable situation in the country.
∎ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, respecting the established framework.
