∎ Operate the Vizoo 3D Scanner and CLO Fabric Kit to digitize fabric textures and simulate fabric properties.
∎ Use software like xTex and Photoshop to create seamless, high-quality texture maps.
∎ Collaborate with designers and product developers to deliver accurate fabric representations for product development.
∎ Maintain a digital fabric library and ensure quality control of all digitized samples.
∎ Provide support in troubleshooting, training, and continuous improvement of digitization processes
∎ Strong understanding of fabric physical properties and texture mapping.
∎ Excellent attention to detail and teamwork skills
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Digitization of fabric texture, analyzing fabric physical properties and development of fabric file for 3D design
∎ As the Digital Fabric Specialist, you will operate VIZOO 3D Scanner and CLO Fabric Kit to digitize a wide range of fabrics, textiles, and materials.
∎ More specifically, your tasks will include:
∎ Operate the xTex software and Vizoo Scanner to capture highly detailed and accurate 3D scans of fabric textures.
∎ Utilize CLO software and CLO fabric kit to accurately simulate the physical properties of various fabrics, including drape, elasticity, weight, and texture.
∎ Use Photoshop to enhance and improve existing texture maps of fabrics to achieve a higher level of detail and realism.
∎ Create seamless texture maps that can be seamlessly repeated without visible seams in 3D rendering.
∎ Calibration of scanning equipment regularly for accurate and consistent color matching and texture reproduction in the digitized fabrics and prints.
∎ Manage and maintain Material Exchange library of digitized fabrics in accordance with Material exchange Best Practice for easy access by the design and product development teams.
∎ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product developers and Merchandiser, to provide digitized fabrics for product development and showcasing.
∎ Work closely with Merchandisers and supplier to understand the ongoing 3D development and support them with fabric digitization.
∎ Interact with cross-functional teams to gather feedback on fabric simulations and make pertinent improvements to enhance realism.
∎ Assist in quality control and validation of digitized fabric samples to ensure accuracy and reliability.
∎ Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance or timely escalate the issues to keep the xTex software and VIZOO scanner in optimal operational condition.
∎ Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance the efficiency and optimize productivity of the digitization process.
∎ Train and knowledge sharing other designers, on fabric digitization processes.
∎ Maintain a clear record of all digitization processes, configurations, and settings ensuring documentation for future reference.
∎ Keep yourself updated of advancements in fabric digitization technologies and best practices to implement and enhance the accuracy and quality of fabric representations.
∎ Identify opportunities to streamline the fabric simulation process and enhance.
