  • Minimum 4–6 years of experience in a dialysis unit, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership or supervisory role in a reputed private hospital.

  • Strong knowledge of hemodialysis procedures, equipment, and complications.

  • Leadership and team coordination skills.

  • Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and patient interaction skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and respond to critical situations.

  • Familiarity with infection prevention and biomedical waste handling.

Job Summary:

The Dialysis In-Charge is responsible for overseeing the smooth and efficient functioning of the hospital’s Dialysis Unit. This role involves supervising dialysis staff, ensuring patient safety, coordinating with doctors, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with treatment protocols and infection control standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate all activities in the Dialysis Unit.

  • Assign duties and manage schedules of dialysis nurses and technicians.

  • Ensure all dialysis procedures are conducted according to protocol, maintaining patient safety and comfort.

  • Collaborate with nephrologists and physicians to implement individualized patient care plans.

  • Monitor dialysis patients for complications and intervene or escalate as required.

  • Ensure dialysis machines and water treatment systems are regularly checked, calibrated, and maintained.

  • Maintain accurate records of patient treatments, machine logs, and supply usage.

  • Ensure proper infection control practices, hygiene, and sterilization in the dialysis area.

  • Order, manage, and track dialysis consumables and medication stocks.

  • Provide staff training on updated dialysis protocols and equipment handling.

  • Handle emergencies in the dialysis unit and coordinate with emergency response teams when necessary.

  • Participate in quality assurance, and departmental meetings.
